Poetry
Sometimes the deep undertakings of the heart and mind are like windstorms of emotion trapped inside of us, longing to become gentle breezes once more. We hope to be taught and inspired by them, but all too often, we end up at their mercy instead. But fear not these emotions, for they are the catalysts that drive us to seek truth and clarity in our search for meaning as we navigate the storms of life.
Poetry can help take that stormy chaos of pure, wordless emotion and make sense of it - to give us something we can relate to so we don't feel alone. To inspire us and remind us that hope is always waiting nearby if we'd only open ourselves up to it...
May these poems inspire you to persevere the darkness when light feels its farthest away.
Sincerely,
A. J. Darkholme

Becoming a better person means becoming better than who you were, not better than who someone else is.
Life is full of questions. What we ask - and who we ask it with - can make all the difference.
Everyone carries the weight of their past; most do it alone, but long to share the weight with another.
Time spent worrying is like warriors making themselves bleed before the battle even begins.
Expectations are the stones with which we fill our backpacks as we journey through life.
Whether lives are long or short, there awaits something far greater on the Other Side.
