Until The Day
Until The Day
In Cities of Light we are made
But soon we all fall asleep
And into the darkness we fade
To live as shephardless sheep
Through oceans of questions we wade
While Time draws us into The Deep
And further we sink into shade
Like cliff jumpers taking a leap
But we dream not of wings til we're falling
We miss not the sun til it's cold
It's not until we start bawling
That we learn what it means to be bold
At our darkest, we realize our calling
Having passion, we never grow old
Though most of our lives are spent brawling,
To this life, so tightly we hold.
But life as we know it is fleeting;
And none of us know what awaits
So as long as our hearts are still beating,
Our days are spent crafting our fates
But be careful with whom you're competing
Cause when you die, you leave all your mates
And if there exists a Grand Meeting
It's just you alone at The Gates...
